$19.95Oxalic Acid is a bleaching solution for the purpose of removing stains from wood to be finished or refinished. It is also excellent for lightening timber that is to be finished to the lightest color possible.
Dissolve 8 oz. of Oxalic Acid in a half gallon of hot water. It is most effective when used hot. If the first application of the bleach does not remove the discolorations or make the surface as light as you would like , apply the same solution hot a second time and repeat as needed.
Once satisfied with the color allow to dry and be sure to neutralize with white vinigar. Saturate the bleached area and let dry.
Always wear gloves and appropriate clothing when using Oxalic Acid. Wear a dust mask when sanding the bleached dried timber as the sanding dust is quite irritating to the nose. Learn More -

U-30 is safe and excellent for finishing toys and counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom. This is a very tough moisture and heat resistant finish. I've used it for years with great success. This is a simple, easy to use, good looking and very effective finish.
Directions: Ensure the surface is free from other finishes and clean. If previously oiled or waxed clean thoroughly with turpentine. Apply a coat of
U-30 Penetrating Oil Finish using a brush or cloth. Allow oil to penetrate for approx. 10 minutes then wipe off excess with a clean soft cloth. Allow to dry for at least 4 hours before recoating. After the final coat is dry rub with #0000 steelwool to eliminate all shine then you can paste wax for a brighter luster. The more coats applied the harder the surface and brighter the shine. $249.95Rosini's American Custom Liming Wax is the best White Wax for achieving a Limed, Cerused or Whitewashed finish. It works best on woods that have deep open pores like oak. However with a bit of skill you can get great effects on tight grained woods like pine, maple, birch.....
Purpose: To add a white color to the grain of the wood.
Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean and dry.If working with raw hardwood, use a brass or bronze brush in a sweeping motion to remove the soft wood around the pores and to score and open the pores of soft woods. You can also use a wire brus or coarse sandpaper.
Application: Work the Liming Wax into the grain of the wood using #0000 Steel Wool or a lint-free Cheesecloth Wipe. Spread the wax out following the grain of the wood wherever possible. Let dry about 3 minutes and wipe off excess with a clean Cheesecloth Wipe. Once set up, to remove white haze, (if you don't like it), use the American Custom Paste in Neutral and wipe it through the work until you're satisfied with the result. The beauty of the technique is that if you don't like the way it looks, you can wipe out the Liming Wax with Mineral Spirits and start over.
Should you want a more durable finish you can apply my U-30 Finishing Oil over the Liming Wax. The more coats the more protection and the higher the shine. 2-3 coats is recommended. Then apply the American Custom Paste Wax in Neutral or another tint if you like, using #0000 Steel Wool over the U-30, allow to dry overnight and buff with a Cheesecloth Wipe. For a softer sheen use #0000 Steel Wool.
