Rosini's Gilt Cream is an easy to apply Gilt Finish for restoring old Gilding work or for giving a Gilt finish to new work.
Apply to the surface with a small brush, cotton cloth or use your fingertip. Allow to dry overnight and buff to shine or leave matt. For a deeper metalic look apply several thin coats rather than one heavy coat. Always test in an inconspicuous place, or make a sample board to test results.
If over time the Gilt Cream appears dried out in the container, reconstitute by adding a small amount of naphtha , gum turpentine or high quality mineral spirits.
