| Liberon Hardwearing Varnish is a clear, hard polyurethane satin varnish highly resistant to water, heat and alcohol. Ideal for use on furniture and wood surfaces that require maximum protection, such as table tops, bar tops and bathroom furniture.
How to Apply Hardwearing Varnish- Shake/stir well before use.
- Ensure the surface is clean dry and free from dust, if the wood requires extra color, dye first using Liberon Palette Wood Dye available in a wide range of colors.
- For best results, dilute the first coat of varnish with 10% white spirit, this will aid penetration of the wood and reduce a thick build up of varnish.
- Apply the first coat using a brush or spray system working with the grain wherever possible and allow to dry for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Gently smooth the surface with 0000 grade steel wool between coats.
- Apply the second coat neat using a brush or spray as directed above, for maximum protection, a third coat may be applied after 8 hours.
